On June 6, 2026, KRIPA celebrated World Environment Day with a meaningful event that brought together students from Providence Home, students from KRIPA Special School, and the parents and staff of KRIPA CREI, alongside Social Work Interns from the University of Melbourne. The event commenced with an inspiring keynote address by Fr. Mathew Kiriyanthan CMI, Director of KRIPA, who emphasized the collective responsibility of protecting nature. Marking the occasion, a tree sapling was jointly planted by the Director, Assistant Director, and the interns from the University of Melbourne to symbolize a commitment to a greener future. Following this, Fr. Jacob Menachery CMI facilitated an environmental pledge, leading the gathering in a solemn promise to safeguard the planet. The celebration concluded with a beautiful gesture of solidarity, where all attendees left their fingerprints on a tree painting, creating a lasting visual symbol of their shared dedication to environmental protection.
